Women’s group to hold annual charity golf tournament

WARRENSBURG, NY (NEWS10) – The Lake George Region Women for Women in Need, Inc. will hold its 12th Annual Golf Tournament and Auction on Monday, June 28 at Cronin’s Golf Course in Warrensburg.

The setup is a four person scramble with a shotgun starting at 11:45 am with teams consisting of men, women and mixed. Registration begins at 10am followed by lunch at 11:15am. Cost per golfer is $100 for non-members and $75 for Cronin members. The cost includes golf, cart, lunch, drinks on the course, prizes and a steak bake. Non-golfers who wish to attend the steak bake and auction from 4 p.m. will pay $35.

The Lake George Region for WIN, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The purpose of the WIN Committee was to help women and families in the communities of Warren, Washington, Saratoga, Albany and Essex. The women and men served may be the sole support of the family, single, elderly, married or divorced. The main criterion is need.

WIN’s assistance is provided in many ways: clothing, food, financial aid, fuel, oil and firewood. The latest WIN programs include: sanitation bags for local school districts, chemo bags for Albany Med’s pediatric cancer unit, and blessing bags for the local homeless filled with supplies to make life easier. All business of WIN is confidential.
