Howard fears after Labor Day weekend and with more kids going to school, the state may see another spike in children’s COVID hospitalization, and as children under 12 are ineligible for the vaccine, self-vaccinating is the only option. any way to help.

“Do it for the kids,” Howard said. “They are the most vulnerable right now because they cannot be vaccinated, nor can they shelter from adults who have not been vaccinated.”

Howard encourages everyone to think about their own behavior and gather factual information, as this is currently the only way to prevent children from getting COVID and going to the hospital.
