Haveri has become the first district in Karnataka to start preparing to fight the possible third wave of Covid-19, which will mainly affect children. Because there have been no vaccinations for children so far, the district manager Basavraj Bommai has started an action whereby every child aged 0-18 years will undergo a health check.
According to sources, 900 doctors would work for 14 days to test all children. First, children undergo a general body checkup and if the doctors find that the child needs immediate medical or nutritional assistance, they are referred to a pediatrician at the health center. Watch the video.
