To mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Rory will shine a light on the experiences of teens by “walking a mile in their shoes” or in this case, walking an epic 180 miles from Daisy Lodge in Co. Down to the Cancer Fund for Children’s New Center for Short Breaks in Co. mayo.
Rory’s ambitious journey will see him traverse a number of counties, including his native Armagh, as well as Fermanagh, Leitrim, Sligo and Mayo to name a few. Rory is passionate about raising funds for Cancer Fund for Children which provides support to children across Ireland and aims to raise a staggering £500,000 but needs your help!
Currently, the state-of-the-art therapeutic center, Daisy Lodge in Co. Down, at maximum capacity and to support more families, they have pledged to build a second center on the shores of Lough Corrib in Cong, Co Mayo.
