A pediatric practice in Derry Township has joined the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
The Hershey Pediatric Center and Its Caregivers — Drs. Glen Bartlett and Denise Dhawan, as well as Sarah Bright, a physician assistant, and Jacob Morrison, a nurse practitioner, joined UPMC on Sept. 1.
The center’s caregivers and staff became UPMC employees on September 1. The center is now known as the UPMC Hershey Pediatric Center.
The center provides health care to children and adolescents from birth to age 21, including illness visits, injury visits, vaccinations, medication checks, sports assessments, screenings and more.
“Our team and UPMC share a commitment to providing families in the region with patient-centered, quality care,” Bartlett said in a press release. “By joining UPMC, we can provide additional services to patients through advanced technology, expanded care for chronic and acute diseases, additional specialists, and access to health education programs and other services.”
