A walking fundraiser is being held today in Eisenhower Park to benefit the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.

News 12’s Antionette Biordi is hosting the event and walking with families and supporters.

The organization had to cancel the walk last year due to the pandemic, but today they are back and better than ever.

This event takes place during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Many of the participating families have children with brain tumors. They say that being at the event helps other families know that they are not alone in these battles.

Organizers say they hope to raise $50,000 from today’s walk, and the money will go toward funding programs and research to find a cure.
