For 4th year, Warren JFK’s Lyla Day, Alessandra Renn and Ella Economous come together to help kids with cancer
WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) — Three friends and classmates of Warren JFK once again did their part to help the community on Friday.
For the fourth year in a row, these girls have held a bake sale in Warren.
They sold cookies, lemonade and other items and donated their proceeds to charity.

“We do this to help children with cancer. We are also donating some of our money to the Animal Welfare League this year,” says Lyla Day.
“We realized that like people, like children with cancer, they couldn’t do everything we can do. That made us feel bad for them and that’s why we wanted to help them,” says Alessandra Renn.
“Everyone gets the chance to help, even if you don’t know exactly what that is. You can always help a little bit and give a little bit,” says Ella Economous.
Despite the pandemic, the girls held up their sales last year, raising nearly $700. They hope to raise at least that much again this year.
