Carolina Truckers Show Raises $10K For Families Facing Childhood Cancer | Buckeye Country 94.3 WMRN-FM

the second annual Carolina Mountain Truckers Show did something really good with all the people who came together.

Fifty-one trucks showed up for the Carolina Mountain Truckers “Shining for St. Jude” Truck Show on Sept. 18 in Green Mountain, North Carolina. The show had 100% of the donations going directly to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. This year, the donations blew the water from their first event. In 2019, they raised $2,500. But this year they arehas won over $10,000 for children and families with childhood cancer.

The event was held in honor of Megan Denise Vesswho was diagnosed with leukemia at a young age. She was a patient at St. Jude’s and attended the first Carolina Mountain Truckers show where she talked about St. Jude and what it did for her and her family. She sadly passed away on May 16, 2020 at the age of 18.
