ANTHONY GENE DUFFINEY, 74 of Lapeer joined his family and friends in Heaven on Thursday, August 19, 2021 after a long brave battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, Lapeer on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Due to his own wish, there is no viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, American Cancer Society, Mass Cards, or a charity of your choice.

Anthony was born on February 26, 1947 in Flint to parents Alfred and Margaret (McCann) Duffiney. He was a proud graduate of St. Agnes High School. On September 25, 1965, he married Wilma “Billie” Harsch. He then attended Mott College to become Journeyman, Sheet Metal Worker and proud member of the Local #7 Union. He also loved hunting, fishing and shooting the track at Columbiaville Sportsman’s Club. Above all, his family came first in his life. Especially his wife, sons and their families, siblings and their families.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Billie; sons, Anthony (Kim) Duffiney, Joseph (Kelly) Duffiney, and Drew Duffiney; grandchildren, Ariel, Jacob, Sara; great-granddaughter, Rain; sisters, Regina (Don) Johnson, Deborah (Bruce) Simms; brother-in-law, Terry Harsch as well as several nieces, nephews, nephews, godchildren and dear friends. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Margaret; siblings, Diana and Alfred, Jr.
