3 pediatric patients taken to hospital after drowning in Buckeye

PHOENIX – Three pediatric patients under the age of four were taken to hospital on Saturday after drowning in a swimming pool in Buckeye, authorities said.

According to the Buckeye Fire Department, firefighters were sent to an apartment complex near Broadway Road and Miller Road after a report of three drowning victims.

All three children were transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, two by plane and the third was taken away in fair condition by ambulance.

There was no fence around the pool.

According to authorities, the Buckeye Police Department and the Buckeye Fire Department are currently investigating the incident.
